Saige Smith: Featured Artist

"I ain't got time, I give you so much. You chasing the paper replacing my love. I cannot be here for you forever." - "Forever" by Samurai Velvet

I heard Saige perform live at our Wigle Whiskey event last September and was impressed by how comfortable her performance felt. Her voice was so powerful, yet did not feel forced. Alongside Joe Chilcott, the other half of Samurai Velvet, Saige introduced the audience to some unreleased music, leaving them eager to hear more. Their act felt polished and natural although they had only released one song at that point. About a month earlier, Samurai Velvet had released a music video for their single, "Forever (paper love)" that you need to watch right now. Right now!

Now, we just have to wait for their debut EP, Ninja.SUEDE that will be dropping sometime this year (hopefully soon!)

Outside of Samurai Velvet, Saige has an impressive resume. She is a Pittsburgh-based singer/songwriter and actor. So, if you're in need of an incredible actor, check out Saige's page here! Saige's musical talent appeared early, at age 3 in church. Later, she refined her songwriting through the KRUNK Movement program in high school.

Since then, she's collaborated with various producers and artists across the country, one of which being Lyn Starr on his track "S&G" off of his latest project, Universe 25. An immediate hit off of the project, "S&G" was featured in Studio Friendship's 'Friendship Session #16'.
